AN ACT REQUIRING THE USE OF FUNDS FROM THE BUDGET RESERVE FUND TO CLOSE THE STATE BUDGET DEFICIT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That, notwithstanding section 2-33c of the general statutes, the General Assembly transfer two hundred million dollars from the Budget Reserve Fund to the General Fund to close the state budget deficit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.
Statement of Purpose:
To close the state budget deficit for the current fiscal year without further undermining key state programs or structures.
