AN ACT REIMBURSING CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES FOR THE LOSS OF MOTOR VEHICLE TAX REVENUE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the sum of ten million dollars be appropriated to the Office of Policy and Management, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019, to reimburse the municipalities of Torrington, Hamden and Bridgeport for motor vehicle tax revenue shortfalls occurring because said towns conducted property tax revaluations after 2015.
Statement of Purpose:
To reimburse three municipalities that conducted revaluations after 2015 for lost motor vehicle tax revenue.
