AN ACT CONCERNING A MERGER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION INTO THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the Department of Environmental Protection and assign its functions to the Department of Economic and Community Development.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce state expenditures and improve effectiveness by merging the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Economic and Community Development.
