AN ACT CONCERNING IMPROVED PATIENT ACCESS TO BLOOD TEST RESULTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 20-7c of the general statutes be amended to provide that in those cases where a patient is routinely required to undergo blood testing, the patient's health care provider may issue a single authorization to the facility conducting such testing that allows the facility to directly communicate all blood test results to the patient.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide patients who are routinely required to undergo blood testing with the ability to directly access the test results without need to obtain an authorization from the health care provider.
