Summary
To (1) add additional criminal offenses to those for which periodic competency examinations of defendants may be ordered, and to provide that ordered examinations occur at intervals of not less than six months, and (2) allow a court to receive notice if a defendant is released from the custody of the Commissioner of Mental Health and Addiction Services prior to the expiration of the statute of limitations for the crime with which the defendant was charged.
