LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
The Safe Drinking Water, Clean Water, Watershed Protection, and Flood Protection Act, approved by the voters as Proposition 13 at the March 7, 2000, statewide direct primary election, authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds in the amount of $1,970,000,000 to finance specified programs relating to water, including, among others, the Lake Elsinore and San Jacinto Watershed Program to rehabilitate and improve the Lake Elsinore Watershed and San Jacinto Watershed and the water quality of Lake Elsinore.
This bill would appropriate $750,000 from the General Fund to the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District to cover 100% of the local cost share for the Lake Elsinore Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 351 of the Water Code is amended to read:351.
Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund to the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District to cover 100 percent of the local cost share for the Lake Elsinore Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project.
