An act to amend Section 79789 of the Water Code, relating to water.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


SB 708, as introduced, Melendez. Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014.
Existing law, the Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014, approved by the voters as Proposition 1 at the November 4, 2014, statewide general election, authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds in the amount of $7,545,000,000 to finance a water quality, supply, and infrastructure improvement program.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to a provision of the act defining “board” for purposes of the State General Obligation Bond Law.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 79789 of the Water Code is amended to read:

79789.
 For the purposes of the State General Obligation Bond Law, “board,” as defined in Section 16722 of the Government Code, means the secretary.
