   An act to amend Section 31203 of the Government Code, relating to
retirement.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 647, as introduced, Wolk. County retirement.
   Existing law provides that if a member of a county retirement
system becomes a member of another county retirement system, the
membership in the first retirement system ceases.
   This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to these provisions.

   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 31203 of the Government Code is amended to
read:
   31203.  If a member of a county retirement system becomes a member
of another county retirement system, his  or her 
membership in the first system ceases.
