BILL NUMBER: SB 647 INTRODUCED BILL TEXT INTRODUCED BY Senator Wolk FEBRUARY 22, 2013 An act to amend Section 31203 of the Government Code, relating to retirement. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 647, as introduced, Wolk. County retirement. Existing law provides that if a member of a county retirement system becomes a member of another county retirement system, the membership in the first retirement system ceases. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to these provisions. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 31203 of the Government Code is amended to read: 31203. If a member of a county retirement system becomes a member of another county retirement system, his or her membership in the first system ceases.
