   An act relating to vehicular air pollution.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 513, as introduced, Beall. Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality
Standards Attainment Program.
   Existing law establishes the Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality
Standards Attainment Program, which is administered by the State Air
Resources Board, to provide grants to offset the incremental cost of
eligible projects that reduce emissions of air pollutants from
vehicular sources in the state and for funding a fueling
infrastructure demonstration program and technology development
efforts.
   This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to amend the program to achieve even greater air quality
benefits.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to amend the Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards
Attainment Program (Chapter 9 (commencing with Section 44275) of Part
5 of Division 26 of the Health and Safety Code) to achieve even
greater air quality benefits.
