An act relating to the California Community Colleges.

SB 1356, as introduced, Wilk. California Community Colleges: 2 staff positions.

Existing law establishes the California Community Colleges, under the administration of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges, as one of the segments of public postsecondary education in this state.

This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would authorize the allocation of funds appropriated to the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges in a specific item of the Budget Act of 2018 to create 2 new staff positions in the California Community Colleges.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would authorize the allocation of funds appropriated to the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges in Item 6870-001-0001 of Section 2.00 of the Budget Act of 2018 to create two, new full-time staff positions in the California Community Colleges.
