An act relating to workforce development.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 2979, as introduced, Burke. Workforce development.

Existing law declares the need to have a well-educated and highly skilled workforce in the state. Existing law also declares specified principles to guide the state’s workforce investment system.

This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would expand access by state citizens to high-quality workforce development programs to support a strong and growing middle class.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would expand access by state citizens to high-quality workforce development programs to support a strong and growing middle class.
