LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2151, as introduced, Halderman. Veterans' homes: Redding: Fresno: funding. Existing law establishes several Veterans' Homes of California for the purpose of providing residential services and medical care to aged and disabled veterans. Existing law authorizes the development of new Veterans' Homes in the cities of Redding and Fresno. This bill would appropriate $26,100,000 from the General Fund to the California Department of Veterans Affairs for the purpose of operating the Veterans' Home of California, Redding, and the Veterans' Home of California, Fresno. Vote: 2/3. Appropriation: yes. Fiscal committee: yes. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other law, twenty six million one hundred thousand dollars ($26,100,000) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund to the California Department of Veterans Affairs for the purpose of operating the Veterans' Home of California, Redding, and the Veterans' Home of California, Fresno.
