An act relating to health facilities.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1990, as introduced, Arambula. Emergency rooms: temperature data.

Existing law provides for the licensure and regulation of various health care facilities, including, among others, general acute care hospitals, by the State Department of Public Health.

This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would require data collection pertaining to environmental conditions at the time a patient arrives in an emergency room in order to facilitate analysis by the State Department of Public Health of the effect of climate change on public health.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation that would require data collection pertaining to environmental conditions at the time a patient arrives in an emergency room in order to facilitate analysis by the State Department of Public Health of the effect of climate change on public health.
