   An act to amend Section 23355 of the Business and Professions
Code, relating to alcoholic beverages.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 196, as introduced, Waldron. Alcoholic beverage control.
   The Alcoholic Beverage Control Act regulates the application,
issuance, and suspension of alcoholic beverage licenses by the
Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The act authorizes the
holder of a license to exercise specified rights and privileges
connected with the license for the year for which the license was
issued.
   This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 23355 of the Business and Professions Code is
amended to read:
   23355.  Except as otherwise provided in this division and subject
to  the provisions of  Section 22 of Article XX of
the Constitution, the licenses provided for in Article 2  of
this chapter   (commencing with Section 23320) 
authorize the person to whom issued to exercise the rights and
privileges specified in this article and no others during the year
for which issued.
