each an elementary school district shall certify to the Superintendent of Public Instruction that it has adopted a policy to implement a course of instruction that sufficiently prepares the pupils in the district for the course of study required in Section 51225.3. This certification shall be submitted to the superintendent Superintendent
at the same time the elementary school district submits its apportionment reports.

An act to amend Section 51225.4 of the Education Code, relating to pupil instruction.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 1936, as introduced, Ramos.
Pupil instruction: high school graduation requirements.
Existing law requires a pupil to complete designated coursework while in grades 9 to 12, inclusive, in order to receive a diploma of graduation from high school. Existing law requires the governing board of an elementary school district to certify to the Superintendent of Public Instruction that it has adopted a policy to implement a course of instruction that sufficiently prepares the pupils in the district for the course of study required to receive a diploma of graduation from high school.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the latter provision.
