An act to amend Section 1788 of the Civil Code, relating to debt collection.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1841, as introduced, Grayson. Debt collection.
Existing law, the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, is intended to prohibit debt collectors from engaging in unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the collection of consumer debts and to require debtors to act fairly in entering into and honoring those debts.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
