Assembly Bill
No. 1739
Introduced by Assembly Member Bryan |
January 31, 2022 |
An act to amend Section 2055 of the Penal Code, relating to prisons.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 1739, as introduced, Bryan.
State prisons: insurance.
Existing law establishes the state prisons under the jurisdiction of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Existing law authorizes the Secretary of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to insure products produced at any prison or institution under the secretary’s jurisdiction, and all materials and equipment necessary to make those products, against risk of loss.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
