An act to amend Section 405 of the Penal Code, relating to crimes.

AB 1652, as introduced, Wicks. Crimes: riots.
Existing law makes it a crime for a person to participate in a riot, as defined.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that prohibition.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 405 of the Penal Code is amended to read:

405.
 Every A person who participates in any a riot is punishable by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars, dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by both such that fine and imprisonment.
