AB 1634, as introduced, Boerner Horvath. Employment: clean economy: the Office of Just Transition.

Existing law, the California Clean Energy Jobs Act, has the goal of creating good-paying energy efficiency and clean energy jobs in California.

This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation to create the Office of Just Transition in the Labor and Workforce Development Agency to help communities and workers transition to carbon neutrality jobs that build a robust clean economy in which all Californians prosper.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

It is the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation to create the Office of Just Transition in the Labor and Workforce Development Agency to help communities and workers transition to carbon neutrality jobs that build a robust clean economy in which all Californians prosper.
