A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

 

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Arizona; amending the constitution of Arizona by adding article XXXI; relating to a statewide transportation plan.

Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring:

1.  Article XXXI, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be added as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor:

ARTICLE XXXI.  STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION PLAN   

no later than January 1, 2013, the department of transportation shall make recommendations to the governor and the legislature for the implementation of a statewide transportation plan using results from the department's building quality Arizona plan in conjunction with the Arizona councils of governments.

2.  The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
