An Act

 

amending title 16, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-552.01; relating to conduct of elections.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-552.01, to read:

START_STATUTE16-552.01. Two-factor authentication; signatures; pilot program

Notwithstanding any other law, a county may initiate a pilot program to assist in identifying and testing additional methods of verifying the identity of early voters, including by the use of confirming text messages or email messages and other electronic methods that may be suitable for that purpose. END_STATUTE
