AN ACT
amending title 41, chapter 7, article 8.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 41-1234; relating to lobbyists.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 41, chapter 7, article 8.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-1234, to read:
41-1234. City or town lobbyists; fiduciary duty
A. A lobbyist, a designated public lobbyist or an authorized public lobbyist who is employed by or has a contract with a city or town owes a fiduciary duty to the governing body of that city or town.
B. Complying with subsection A of this section does not violate the open meeting law.
