AN ACT
Amending title 36, chapter 4, article 2.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36-435.01; relating to health care institutions.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 36, chapter 4, article 2.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-435.01, to read:
36-435.01. Hospital staff privileges; physicians; prohibitions
The governing board of a health care institution that is classified by the director as a hospital pursuant to section 36‑405 may not require a physician who is licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 13 or 17 to be a participating provider under title XVIII or XIX of the social security act as a condition for eligibility for staff privileges.
