AN ACT
Prescribing department of child safety review of statutory reports.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Department of child safety; report review; report
On or before December 31, 2018, the department of child safety shall do all of the following:
1. Identify the reports and studies the department is required to prepare by state and federal law.
2. Examine the information required by these laws to identify redundancies and inconsistencies among the various requirements.
3. Work with stakeholders to:
(a) Identify the necessity of the information currently required by law and any information not required currently to be included in the reports.
(b) Examine the frequency of and method to communicate the reports to identify ways to make the reports more efficient and meaningful to users of the reports.
4. Report on any recommended changes in reporting requirements to the committee of reference appointed pursuant to section 41‑2954, Arizona Revised Statutes, for health and human services issues.
