AN ACT
Making a supplemental appropriation to the department of economic security for program and benefit increases.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Supplemental appropriation; purpose; exemption; report
A. In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2011‑2012, the sum of $85,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2011-2012 to the department of economic security for increases in the following:
1. Aging and community services.
2. Child care assistance.
3. Payment rates to family foster homes.
4. Temporary assistance for needy families cash assistance benefits.
5. Temporary assistance for needy families jobs program.
6. Reimbursement rates for community service providers and independent service agreement providers contracting with the division of developmental disabilities.
B. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35‑190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
C. On or before June 30, 2012, the department of economic security shall submit a report to the joint legislative budget committee staff that outlines the programs that received monies pursuant to this section and the amount of monies each program received.
