AN ACT

 

amending title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 9‑500.10; relating to cities and towns.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 9-500.10, to read:

START_STATUTE9-500.10.  Alarm installation licenses; reciprocity

A.  A person is entitled to receive an alarm installation license from a city or town if the person complies with all of the following:

1.  Submits to the city or town under oath an application for an alarm installation license on a form supplied by the city or town.

2.  Is licensed in another city or town as an alarm installer in which the licensing requirements are at least substantially equivalent or greater to those of the city or town in which the person is applying and that grants similar reciprocal privileges to persons licensed as an alarm installer.

3.  Pays the prescribed fees.

B.  The applicant shall provide information the city or town determines is necessary to investigate the status of the applicant's current alarm installation license. END_STATUTE
