AN ACT

 

amending title 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding chapter 8; relating to noxious weeds.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding chapter 8, to read:

CHAPTER 8

GOVERNMENTAL MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS AND CAPITAL PROJECTS

ARTICLE 1.  GENERAL PROVISIONS

START_STATUTE1-801.  Maintenance operations and capital projects; noxious weeds; removal; prohibited use

This state, any political subdivision or agency of this state and any other governmental entity:

1.  May remove noxious weeds as defined in section 3-201, including Russian Olive and salt cedar trees, as part of routine maintenance operations and capital projects.

2.  May not use noxious weeds as defined in section 3-201, including Russian Olive and Salt Cedar trees, in landscaping. END_STATUTE
