AN ACT
Amending Title 36, chapter 4, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36-415; relating to health care institutions.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section|1.||Title 36, chapter 4, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-415, to read:
36-415. Emergency departments; required information; malnutrition
A. Every hospital emergency department in this state shall require admissions personnel to ask the following questions of each person admitted:
1. Has the person skipped a meal for the sake of a child.
2. Has the person ever gone without food for a period of time that the person felt hungry.
B. Each hospital shall report its findings on a quarterly basis to the department of economic security to assist the department to determine areas of this state with high levels of malnutrition.
