AN ACT

 

Amending section 40‑210, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to public service corporations.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Section 40-210, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE40-210.  Contractors; requirements; prohibition; penalty; definition

A.  A contractor who is licensed by the registrar of contractors pursuant to title 32, chapter 10 is eligible to participate in a commission approved rebate or other pricing program offered by a public service corporation if the contractor obtains the same or equivalent training or certification required under the program.

B.  A contractor who is licensed under by the registrar of contractors pursuant to title 32, chapter 10 shall not be required to:

1.  Join any trade association or other membership organization.

2.  Pay dues to any trade association or other membership organization.

C.  Any public service corporation that violates this section is subject to the penalties prescribed in section 40‑425.

C.  D.  For the purposes of this section, "contractor" has the same meaning prescribed in section 32‑1101. END_STATUTE
