AN ACT
repealing sections 41‑2832 and 41‑2833,
Arizona Revised Statutes; appropriating monies; relating to county
contributions for committed youth.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Repeal; transfer of monies; appropriation
A. Sections 41-2832 and 41‑2833, Arizona Revised Statutes, are repealed.
B. All unexpended and unencumbered monies remaining in the department of juvenile corrections local cost sharing fund established by section 41‑2833, Arizona Revised Statutes, as repealed by subsection A of this section, are transferred to the state general fund on the effective date of this section.
C. The total amount of monies transferred pursuant
to subsection B of this section is appropriated from the state general fund in
fiscal year 2020‑2021 to the department of administration to distribute
to each county in a proportional share using population data from the most
recent United States decennial census.
