An Act
amending title 15, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-120.05; relating to education.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 15, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-120.05, to read:
15-120.05. Parent training requirements; crimes against children; definition
A. Each elementary school in this state shall notify each parent described in subsection B of this section that:
1. The parent is required to complete the online training program provided pursuant to subsection C of this section.
2. The parent is encouraged to complete the online training program at least one time per year.
3. The online training program is available to the parent at no cost on the department of education's website.
B. The parent of a student in any of grades four through eight shall complete the online training program provided pursuant to subsection C of this section when the parent's child is promoted to grade four and when the parent enrolls the student in any of grades four through eight in an elementary school that the child did not attend during the previous school year.
C. The department of education shall establish a webpage for the parent training requirements established under this section. The department shall include on the webpage:
1. At least one online training program that is provided free of charge and that provides instruction on both child sex trafficking and internet crimes against children.
2. Educational information and resources related to preventing child sex trafficking and internet crimes against children.
D. For the purposes of this section, "elementary school":
1. Means a school in this state that provides instruction to students in kindergarten programs or any of grades one through eight.
2. Includes any school that is operated by a school district, a charter school or a private school.
