AN ACT

 

Amending title 35, chapter 1, article 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 35-198; relating to fiscal reporting.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 35, chapter 1, article 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 35-198, to read:

START_STATUTE35-198.  County surplus monies; report

On or before August 1 of each year, each county shall calculate the amount of carryforward from the previous fiscal year to the current fiscal year plus the estimated revenue for the current fiscal year minus the amount of the county budget for the current fiscal year and shall notify the state treasurer of the amount remaining.  Each county shall also provide the state treasurer a monthly revenue report of the county's receipts.END_STATUTE
