AN ACT
amending section 16-226, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to election dates.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 16-226, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
16-226. Nonpartisan elections; time of calling; definition
A. Nonpartisan elections and elections held by a school district, a city or a town and that are not held concurrently to a general election shall be called no later than one hundred twenty days before the date of holding the election.
B. For the purposes of this chapter article, "nonpartisan" means an election that is held by a special district established pursuant to title 48 and that is not held concurrently with the general election.
