AN ACT
amending section 12-127, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to the superior court.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 12-127, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
12-127. Days for transaction of business; exceptions
A. The superior court shall at all times be open for transaction of business except on nonjudicial days. No business shall be transacted on a legal holiday except:
1. To give, upon on its request, instructions to a jury deliberating on its verdict.
2. To receive a verdict or discharge a jury.
3. For the exercise of the powers of a magistrate in a criminal action or in a proceeding of a criminal nature.
B. Writs of injunction, attachment, garnishment, replevin, and prohibition may be issued and served on any day.
C. With the approval of the presiding judge of the county, business shall be transacted in the division of the superior court of that county on the second Monday in October if the board of supervisors designates the fourth Friday in November a legal holiday in place of the second Monday in October.
D. A division of the superior court shall not be open for the transaction of business on the fourth Friday in November if the division of the superior court of that county is open for the transaction of business on the second Monday in October pursuant to subsection C.
