AN ACT
repealing sections 41-2832 and 41-2833, Arizona Revised Statutes; appropriating monies; relating to county contributions for committed youth.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Repeal; transfer of monies; appropriation
A. Sections 41-2832 and 41-2833, Arizona Revised Statutes, are repealed.
B. All unexpended and unencumbered monies remaining in the department of juvenile corrections local cost sharing fund established by section 41-2833, Arizona Revised Statutes, as repealed by subsection A of this section, are transferred to the state general fund on the effective date of this section.
C. The total amount of monies transferred pursuant to subsection B of this section is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the department of administration to distribute to each county in a proportional share using population data from the most recent United States decennial census.
