An Act
amending title 45, chapter 2, article 9, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 45-581; relating to groundwater management.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 45, chapter 2, article 9, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 45-581, to read:
45-581. Groundwater model; unpledged effluent
The director shall ensure that any hydrologic modeling used to determine physical availability pursuant to section 45-576 for the purposes of evaluating an application for a certificate or designation of assured water supply includes any effluent that will be generated from the proposed subdivision if both of the following requirements are met:
1. The applicant obtains a commitment of wastewater service from the water provider or wastewater provider.
2. The applicant demonstrates that the infrastructure for reuse of the effluent will be funded by the water provider, wastewater provider or applicant.
