FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Removes the requirement for a supervising dentist to be within 10 miles of the dental therapist.
2. Outlines procedures that a dental therapist may perform under direct supervision, where the licensed dentist is present in the office and available to provide immediate treatment or care to a patient and observe a dental therapist’s work.
3. Outlines procedures that a dental therapist may perform under general supervision, where the licensed dentist is available for consultation, regardless of if the dentist is in the office, regarding the procedures authorized by a written collaborative practice agreement.
4. Makes technical and conforming changes.
