HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2516

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:

"Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 1, article 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-153, to read:

START_STATUTE15-153.  School buildings near airports; restrictions; exception

From and after August 31, 2018, a charter school or school district that is seeking to locate a school within three miles of a public use airport runway shall submit documentation to the local jurisdiction before commencing construction that a determination of no hazard has been issued by the federal aviation administration pursuant to 14 code of federal regulations part 77.END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Effective date

This act is effective from and after August 31, 2018."
