Page 2, after line 10, insert:
"Sec. 2. Section 28-901, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
28-901. Maximum number in school bus; stops on paved state highway with speed limit greater than forty-five miles per hour prohibited; stops at school
A. Except for the purpose of conducting drills under school rules and in the emergency evacuation or dispersal of pupils and school personnel, a person shall not operate a school bus on a public highway:
1. While carrying more passengers than can be properly seated.
2. While a person is standing in the school bus.
B. A person shall not stop a school bus to receive or discharge children on a paved state highway if the posted speed limit is greater than forty‑five miles per hour.
B. C. In receiving or discharging children at the school, a person who drives a vehicle carrying children to and from school shall stop the vehicle on the side of the highway on which the school is located."
Amend title to conform
