FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 434 as passed the House of Representatives could increase the obligations of the "Court Costs Not Otherwise Provided For" Fund, funded by the State General Fund, by an undetermined amount to reimburse district attorneys or the Attorney General for costs associated with video depositions or use of closed-circuit television equipment during a proceeding relating to human trafficking.

In addition, this bill could further increase the obligations of the State General Fund by an undetermined amount to provide counsel to a defendant that has elected to proceed without counsel in certain proceedings involving human trafficking.
