Requesting the Division of Highways name the bridge numbered 12-005/00-000.13(12A010), (39.05079, -79.10992) locally known as ARTHUR BRIDGE, carrying CR 05 over LUNICE CREEK in Grant County, the "Asa H. Kisamore, Jr. Memorial Bridge."
Whereas, Asa H. Kisamore, Jr., originally from Petersburg, WV, lived a life of distinction worthy of being remembered; and
Whereas, Mr. Kisamore was a 1971 graduate of Petersburg High School; and
Whereas, Mr. Kisamore was a plumber and superintendent for a mechanical pipefitting Contractor in Northern Virginia before later retiring from the West Virginia Department of Highways; and
Whereas, Mr. Kisamore was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church; and
Whereas, Mr. Kisamore was a hardworking man who loved to help and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and a member of the Mountaintop Hunting Club; and
Whereas, Mr. Kisamore always valued his grandchildren more than anything in the world and they knew him as "Boppy;" therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to name the bridge numbered 12-005/00-000.13(12A010), (39.05079, -79.10992) locally known as ARTHUR BRIDGE, carrying CR 05 over LUNICE CREEK in Grant County, the "Asa H. Kisamore, Jr. Memorial Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to erect signs containing bold and prominent letters identifying the bridge as the "Asa. H. Kisamore, Jr. Memorial Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Commissioner of the Division of Highways.
