A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §15-2-24c, relating to the Marshall University Forensic Science Center; requiring the State Police to partner with the DNA and Digital Forensics sections of Marshall University Forensic Science Center, which sections are designated a Disaster Recovery Laboratory.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §15-2-24c, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. WEST VIRGINIA STATE POLICE.
§15-2-24c. Relationship with Marshall University Forensic Science Center.
The superintendent shall partner with the DNA and Digital Forensics sections of the Marshall University Forensic Science Center, which is designated as a Disaster Recovery Laboratory, to enhance the ability of the superintendent and the State Police to comply with their responsibilities.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to requiring the State Police to partner with the DNA and Digital Forensics sections of Marshall University Forensic Science Center, which sections are designated a Disaster Recovery Laboratory.
