A BILL to amend and reenact §64-9-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to authorizing the Secretary of State to promulgate a legislative rule relating to guidelines for the use of nicknames and other designations on the ballot.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
ARTICLE 9. Authorization for miscellaneous boards and agencies to promulgate legislative rules.
§64-9-1. Secretary of State.
The legislative rule filed in the State Register on July 28, 2023, authorized under the authority of §3-1A-6 of this code, modified by the Secretary of State to meet the objections of the Legislative Rule-Making Review Committee and refiled in the State Register on October 25, 2023, relating to the Secretary of State (guidelines for the use of nicknames and other designations on the ballot, 153 CSR 14), is authorized.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Secretary of State to promulgate a legislative rule relating to guidelines for the use of nicknames and other designations on the ballot.
