A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §61-7-16, relating to prohibiting the publication of the identities of persons who have been issued licenses to carry a concealed deadly weapon.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §61-7-16, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 7. DANGEROUS WEAPONS.
§61-7-16. Publication of licenses to carry deadly weapons prohibited.
Notwithstanding any provision of this code to the contrary, publication of the identities of persons who have been issued licenses to carry a concealed deadly weapon pursuant to section four of this article is prohibited.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to prohibit the publication of the identities of persons who have been issued licenses to carry a concealed deadly weapon.
This section is new; therefore, it has been completely underscored.
