- WVDE's Classroom 2 Career Navigator website was developed as part of SB 303 (2020) - the Students' Right to Know Act. This initiative is a collaboration between k-12 and higher education and is designed to highlight college and career options for WV students. Counselors, students, families, and community members can access useful information about colleges, military, entrepreneurship, work-based learning, and other resources to help guide post-secondary decisions and career options beyond high school. This website can also be used to help students, parents, and counselors navigate career pathways when creating a Personalized Education Plan (PEP). - WVDE's Discover Your Future middle school courses were designed as part of HB 4790 (2020) to help students explore a variety of CTE programs that connect their passions to a future career. This 34-week course includes established lesson plans to cover the sixteen national career clusters. Students are involved in engaging, hands-on activities, such as creating a tiny model house, designing a video game from start to finish, designing a food truck, and exploring healthcare. - WVDE recognizes and provides certificates for Governor's Workforce Credential recipients annually.
