SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 31
Celebrating the life of Camille Annette Harrell.

 

Agreed to by the Senate, February 8, 2024

 

WHEREAS, Camille Annette Harrell, a beloved wife and mother and a compassionate member of the Suffolk community, died on December 26, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Camille Harrell grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Bishop Kelley High School; she continued her education at Colorado State University, then moved to San Francisco, where she met the love of her life, Ryan; and

WHEREAS, Camille and Ryan Harrell relocated to the Commonwealth and settled in Suffolk to raise their family; Camille Harrell's greatest joy in life was supporting her daughters in all their endeavors and imparting to them her inspirational kindness and generosity; and

WHEREAS, Camille Harrell volunteered her time and leadership to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Party with a Purpose, the Westover Garden Club, and the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Development Advisory Committee, among other civic and service organizations; and

WHEREAS, Camille Harrell was a dedicated patron of the arts, serving as a member of the Suffolk Art League and longtime co-chair of the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Art Show and Sale; and

WHEREAS, Camille Harrell will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband of 26 years, Ryan; her daughters, Peyton and Anne-Perry; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Camille Annette Harrell; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Camille Annette Harrell as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for her memory.
