SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 45
Commending Don and Marcelline Waugh.

WHEREAS, Don and Marcelline Waugh, respected entrepreneurs in Orange and accomplished collectors of Harley-Davidson memorabilia, retired in 2015 as owners of Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson and Waugh's Memory Lane Motorcycle Museum; and

WHEREAS, Don and Marcelline Waugh established Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson in 1976, offering a wide variety of motorcycles, parts, service, and accessories; they earned admiration as one of the last "mom and pop" motorcycle dealers in the Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, avid motorcycle enthusiasts, Don and Marcelline Waugh amassed a collection of Harley-Davidson memorabilia valued at over $1 million and opened Waugh's Memory Lane Motorcycle Museum to share their treasures with the public; and

WHEREAS, Waugh's Memory Lane Motorcycle Museum featured an array of vintage cars and motorcycles, as well as everything from collector's edition toys and knives to a Harley-Davidson pinball machine; the collection sold at auction in December 2015 and attracted bidders from throughout the United States and the world; and

WHEREAS, after their well-earned retirement, Don and Marcelline Waugh plan to sell Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson to an automotive dealer and travel the country on their custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Don and Marcelline Waugh on the occasion of their retirement as owners of Waugh Enterprises Harley-Davidson and Waugh's Memory Lane Motorcycle Museum; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Don and Marcelline Waugh as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for their service to the Orange community and best wishes on a happy retirement.
