SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 29
Commending Christ Episcopal Church.

WHEREAS, Christ Episcopal Church in Spotsylvania County celebrated the 10th anniversary of the dedication of its All Saints Hall in 2015; and

WHEREAS, the construction of All Saints Hall allowed Christ Episcopal Church to serve better its growing congregation and support its ministries and other local service organizations; and

WHEREAS, the Food Pantry ministry, which is staffed by volunteers from the Christ Episcopal Church congregation, works to ensure that no member of the community suffers from hunger; and

WHEREAS, the Food Pantry ministry uses All Saints Hall to provide supplemental food to more than 150 local families, enhancing the health and wellness of community members through good nutrition; and

WHEREAS, the All Saints Hall at Christ Episcopal Church routinely hosts the staff members of the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board to facilitate activities for adults with intellectual disabilities; the board was able to expand its programs significantly through the use of All Saints Hall; and

WHEREAS, Christ Episcopal Church commemorated the anniversary of the dedication of All Saints Hall with a special celebration on September 19, 2015; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Christ Episcopal Church on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the opening of its All Saints Hall; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Christ Episcopal Church as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the church's contributions to the Spotsylvania community.
