14105414D WHEREAS, Jacob Aulman Vick, a beloved son and brother and great friend to many in the New Kent community, died tragically on October 29, 2013; and WHEREAS, a sophomore at New Kent High School, Jacob Vick was an outstanding student who achieved a 3.7 GPA in his freshman year; and WHEREAS, Jacob Vick was a valued member of the New Kent High School football team, where he started at middle linebacker on the varsity team; he also offered his talents as a member of the junior varsity baseball team; and WHEREAS, Jacob Vick had many hobbies, but always made time for his family, especially his younger sisters; and WHEREAS, Jacob Vick enjoyed fellowship and worship with the community as a member of Corinth Baptist Church in New Kent; and WHEREAS, Jacob Vick will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his parents; Robert and Susan; sisters, Lucy and Lauren; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Jacob Aulman Vick, a dynamic member of the New Kent community; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Jacob Aulman Vick as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for his memory. |
